What we do:

We develop and run campaigns in cities and states across the country to support programs that provide food stamps, fund school breakfasts, and lunches, ensure seniors have access to basic benefits, and help feed hungry people. We work with hunger advocacy groups across the country to identify the biggest needs and best opportunities, build campaigns, fund them, and run them—whether it’s passing legislation, creating new ways to reach people in need, or stopping bad bills from becoming bad laws.

How we do it:

  • Work with partners like Share Our Strength, No Kid Hungry, Benefits Data Trust, and Feeding America to find the jurisdictions where we can have a real impact through new legislation or outreach programs
  • Develop campaigns and build the right team on the ground (including lobbying, pr, polling, digital)
  • Fund and manage each campaign in each jurisdiction, just like Tusk Strategies and Tusk Ventures have for companies like AT&T, Uber, Walmart, and Expedia

Our focus areas:

Direct Hunger Assistance

We have specific interest in programs that directly reduce food insecurity (such as: SNAP, school/summer meals and food rescue, recovery, and distribution).

Income Security Programs

Because food can be upwards of 30% of a low-income family’s income, T/MFF is interested in policies that create economic stability for low-income families.

Improving Access to Healthy Food

Obesity and poor health are often a symptom of food insecurity, we take an interest in programs that improve access to better nutrition among low-income people.

Our partners:

We’ve set out to find and work with leading local and national organizations across the country. If your organization is struggling to navigate government or sees a new legislative opportunity on the horizon, we want to hear about it.
